Recent flooding across northeastern Wisconsin has deeply affected the communities that we call home. When disasters like this arise, we at Wolf River Community Bank believe in showing up for one another and offering support in every way that we can.

“As a community bank, our role goes beyond financial services—we show up when our neighbors need us most,” said Jason Bloxham, President of Wolf River Community Bank. “The flood affected many families and businesses, and we are committed to providing both immediate relief and long-term support as recovery continues.”

Here’s how we’re showing up for those impacted and how you can join us.

Free Meal for Cleanup Volunteers

The Village of Shiocton hosted a major cleanup day on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Volunteer crews helped residents clear out flooded businesses and garages, as well as assisted with overall community clean-up after the flooding.

To support and thank those lending a hand, the Hortonville Lions Club and Wolf River Community Bank offered a free lunch to registered volunteers and residents. Lunch was served at the River Rail parking lot, next door to the bank’s Shiocton branch.

Sandbagging & Flood Mitigation Support

The community rallied together to support essential sandbagging efforts in northeastern Wisconsin. Sandbagging involves filling and stacking sandbags to create temporary barriers that slow or redirect rising waters. It’s a crucial tool for protecting homes, businesses, and public spaces during floods.

Before flood waters reached the area, Wolf River Community Bank staff participated in several days of sandbagging efforts in New London to support local flood mitigation. Across multiple days, staff from Wolf River Community Bank rolled up their sleeves and joined community volunteers in New London to fill sandbags. Their participation helped strengthen local mitigation operations and reflects our shared commitment to supporting our communities when it matters most. Cleanup Supply Donations

In times of crisis, donations play an important role in helping communities recover faster and more safely. Donations ensure first responders and affected families have what they need to begin rebuilding.

$100,000 in Donations to Support New London & Shiocton

One of the most effective ways to help during a crisis is through monetary donations. Monetary donations give local organizations the ability to purchase exactly what they need, exactly when they need it.

To support ongoing flood-relief efforts, Wolf River Community Bank donated $50,000 to the New London Chamber of Commerce and an additional $50,000 to the Friends of the Shiocton-Bovina Fire Department. New London and Shiocton are home to Wolf River Community Bank branches, and both organizations are actively working on the front line during the flood recovery.

Before donating to any relief effort, it’s always wise to research the organization or charity, understand how donated funds are used, and ensure your contribution goes where it’s needed most. If you feel moved to support the two organizations that we’ve partnered with during this recovery effort, here’s how you can contribute:

The New London Chamber of Commerce is collecting donations. One hundred percent of donations will go back into the community—helping residents, businesses, and nonprofits recover and rebuild. If you’d like to donate to the New London Chamber of Commerce, please visit their website and utilize their secure donation portal.

The Friends of the Shiocton-Bovina Fire Department are accepting donations at Wolf River Community Bank. You don’t have to be a customer to donate. Simply visit one of our branches in Greenville, Hortonville, New London, or Shiocton. One of our friendly tellers can assist you with your donation.

Disaster Recovery Assistance Participation

Outagamie County set up a multi-agency resource center, also known as the MARC, at Romy’s Nitingale in Black Creek. The MARC is a one-stop location where community members can access numerous different assistance and recovery programs, all under one roof. Its purpose is to help communities get the support that they need quickly and efficiently.

Joe Peikert, CEO of Wolf River Community Bank, sat a table at the MARC, smiling and providing financial resources about flood-relief.

Wolf River Community Bank set up at the MARC to help community members with financial information and recovery resources. CEO Joe Peikert, pictured above, was there to offer guidance and share information about the bank’s Flood Relief Loan Program.
