Miranda Schultz Named to Insight Magazine’s 2026 40 Under 40 List

Congratulations Miranda Schultz on 40 under 40

We are proud to share exciting news—Miranda Schultz, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operations Officer, has been recognized as a 2026 Insight on Business Magazine 40 Under 40 honoree —a prestigious honor recognizing young professionals making a meaningful impact across Northeast Wisconsin.

Driving Bank Growth

Since joining Wolf River Community Bank six years ago as Chief Financial Officer, Miranda has rapidly emerged as one of the most influential young leaders in community banking. She has since advanced to Executive Vice President, CFO, and COO, overseeing four critical areas of the bank: Retail, Deposit Operations, Electronic Banking, and Accounting.

During her tenure, the bank experienced remarkable growth—nearly doubling total assets during a challenging economic period. This growth reflects Miranda’s strategic insight, strong financial leadership, and ability to navigate complexity with confidence.

A People-First Leader

Beyond operational and financial success, Miranda is known for her people-centered leadership. She is deeply committed to talent development, mentoring team members, and creating clear pathways for career growth.

She has also played a key role in strengthening Wolf River Community Bank’s culture and employee experience. She helped spearhead employee-focused initiatives such as an employee-driven charitable giving program, paid volunteer time off, the “dress for your day” incentive program, and the bank’s WOW Roadmap for customer-focused service.

Credentials & Recognitions

Miranda’s professional credentials underscore her commitment to excellence. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Accounting. She is also a graduate of the UW–Madison Graduate School of Banking, where she earned a Certificate of Executive Leadership.

In 2025, she was recognized nationally as one of the Independent Community Bankers of America 40 Under 40: Community Bank Leaders, placing her among just 40 honorees across the United States. Her recognition by Insight Magazine further highlights her influence as a leader shaping the future of banking locally.

Leadership Beyond the Bank

Outside of the office, Miranda is an entrepreneur, mentor, and community role model. She is active with the nonprofit Junior Achievement and uses her platform as a health and lifestyle social media influencer to build community and inspire others. She also openly shares her experiences balancing a demanding leadership role with raising a young family, offering encouragement and mentorship to other professionals.

Honored & Celebrated

Miranda will be recognized alongside fellow honorees at the Insight 40 Under 40 awards celebration on Thursday, May 28, at the Appleton Flight Center. The 2026 40 Under 40 class will also be featured in the June issue of Insight on Business magazine.

Joe Peikert, CEO of Wolf River Community Bank, along with Insight Magazine, will present the award to Miranda. Peikert said, “Miranda exemplifies the kind of leadership that drives lasting success. Her strategic mindset, commitment to our employees, and passion for serving our communities have played a pivotal role in our continued growth. We are incredibly proud of her and grateful for the impact she continues to make every day.”

Please join us in congratulating Miranda Schultz on this well-deserved recognition. Her leadership, vision, and commitment to people represent the future of Wolf River Community Bank and the communities we serve.
