Small business grants for COVID-19The governor’s office announced $109 million in new and renewed grant funding for small businesses affected by COVID-19. Of those funds, $5,000 grants will be issued to an additional 10,000 Wisconsin small businesses, including restaurants, bars, and salons.
Application filing opened today, October 19.
If you previously applied for Phase 1 of the “We’re All In Grant” by WEDC this past summer, you are still eligible to apply for Phase 2. This phase is administered through the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
How Grants Will Be Awarded
After the application period closes, applications will be reviewed for eligibility. Eligible applicants will be ranked with priority given to businesses that did not receive a grant from WEDC in Phase 1, have minority ownership, and are in an industry with the greatest negative impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Grant amounts will be $5,000 per eligible applicant and paid out based on rank in descending order until all funds are dispersed.
