11/19/2020: Santa Float Coming to Fox West Communities Hosted by Wolf River Community Bank
During the week of December 7th, Wolf River Community Bank will be bringing Santa through residential areas of Greenville, Hortonville, New London and Shiocton as he sits atop a “Santa Float,” allowing onlookers to wave from their homes or from the sidewalk in a safe and socially distanced manner. Local police and/or fire department members in each municipality will accompany the float through the communities.
This event is happening in lieu of the bank’s annual “Santa at the Bank” event as a more COVID-friendly alternative. “Since we can’t invite our communities in for “Santa at the Bank” this year, we’re bringing some holiday cheer into our neighborhoods,” said Joe Peikert, Wolf River Community Bank President and CEO. “Being a community bank sometimes means getting creative with the ways we give back to the communities that support the bank,” says Peikert.
“In light of the current pandemic, it’s awesome to see how our local businesses are stepping up and finding creative ways to continue connecting with the community. It really shows how much they care,” says Chad Hoerth, New London City Administrator. “Covid-19 is not stopping this Santa Claus from coming to town!”
The Santa Float will be visiting the following communities on dates listed below:
- Hortonville – Monday, December 7th at 5:30 p.m.
- Greenville – Tuesday, December 8th at 5:30 p.m. starting at the Fire Station, ending at Lions Park
- Shiocton – Wednesday, December 9th at 5:30 p.m.
- New London – Thursday, December 10th at 5:30 p.m. starting at the Fire Station, ending at the Waters Supper Club
Community members will be able to track Santa as he travels through town using the bank’s “Santa Tracker” tool which will be updated each day of the event. Float routes and the “Santa Tracker” link can be found at https://www.wolfriverbank.com/santa/.
