03/10/2021: Help Us Plant 250 New Trees in Our Communities in Honor of our 25th Anniversary
With spring soon on its way as well as Earth Day and Arbor Day, Wolf River Community Bank is launching a “Go Green” campaign to encourage enrollment in eStatements.
For each eStatement enrollment from March 10th – April 16th, 2021, Wolf River Community Bank will purchase a tree to be planted in a local community. The bank is reaching out to their communities to help them reach a goal of 250 eStatement enrollments and 250 new trees in honor of their 25th anniversary.
Trees donated by Wolf River Community Bank will then be planted courtesy of Park & Rec/Forestry Departments of Greenville, Hortonville, New London and Shiocton on or around Arbor Day, April 30th.
According to the Arbor Day Foundation, trees clean our air and drinking water, provide us with oxygen, offer shade for cooling, reduce the effects of climate change, benefits wildlife, saves energy, and increases our property values as homes with street trees typically sell for higher amounts.
“Wolf River Community Bank was humbly created 25 years ago by a small group of local business leaders as a financial institution with a mission to support the community,” said Joe Peikert, Wolf River Community Bank President and CEO. “Our “Go Green” campaign is another positive way we’re able to impact our market areas, improving our communities’ health and reducing our carbon footprint. Incredible community support has been the driving force of our growth for the last 25 years, so now it’s time to return the favor. We look forward to watching these trees and our communities grow over the next 25 years.”
“We are very excited to partner with Wolf River Community Bank on this endeavor, said Tony Nowak, CPRP, Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry for the Village of Greenville, Wisconsin. “Switching to eStatements has an immediate impact on your carbon footprint and planting trees will benefit the community for generations to come. It is a win all around!”
Paperless statements are not only more eco-friendly. They also reduce the risk of a mailed statement being lost or stolen, offer access to an archive of past statements through online banking, are delivered faster, and reduce paper clutter.
Wolf River Community Bank customers with online banking can enroll in eStatements in less than two minutes. New bank customers who set up eStatements during the “Go Green” campaign also will have a tree planted in their honor. To learn more, go to wolfriverbank.com/estatements.
