11/25/2019: WRCB Half Court Shot Contest Hosted at Local High Schools!

After wrapping up a successful first year of the WRCB Field Goal Contest at Hortonville and New London High Schools, Wolf River Community Bank is excited to host the WRCB Half Court Shot Contest at two varsity boys’ and two varsity girls’ basketball games in New London, Hortonville and Shiocton, totaling twelve games.

The premise of the contest is similar to that of the bank’s Field Goal Contest hosted during this past high school football season. A contestant will be drawn randomly from the stands and will be given the option to shoot a half court shot with the chance to win $1,000 ($500 to the contestant, $500 to the school district) or a free throw with the chance to win $100 ($50 to the contestant, $50 to the school district). The bank provides two shot options to present the contestant with a “financial decision”, with the idea that “we can’t help you make your shot, but we can help you with your financial decisions.”  The contests are a way that the bank can involve the community in giving back to our schools.

The schedule of games for the WRCB Half Court Shot Contest is as follows:
