This past October the Bank celebrated its 16th anniversary. Back in 1996, Jim Olson, along with Jean Kable and John Morford, as well as our Board of Directors had a vision of a new bank for Hortonville and the surrounding communities. That vision included local ownership, local decisions as well as financial and volunteer support of our area communities. Recently, a number of personnel changes have occurred. As you may know, Jean retired in August 2012 and I have recently assumed the role of President/CEO. Jim has stepped back from day-to-day operations of the bank . Jim will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board, will work full time at the bank, and will continue to serve his loan customers. Although some roles and responsibilities have changed, one thing that will not change is our commitment to our customers, communities, employees, and stockholders. Our management team and staff will continue to strive to carry on the traditions which have made the bank successful. The principles that drive this include: fairness, integrity, staff autonomy, remarkable customer service, and competitive rates and fees.
We aspire for Wolf River Community Bank to be a premier employer in our area. We will continue to be a strong community supporter in our schools, cities, villages, towns, and charitable organizations. We will further strive to continue to produce excellent financial results for our stockholders, many of whom were original investors in the bank. As you read this, I hope the word “stewardship” comes to mind. We believe we are stewards of the resources that have been entrusted to us. We are always learning and looking for ways to improve. Please contact me at 920-779-5270 or joep@wolfriverbank.com if you have feedback for us. Thank you for your continued business and support. |
